On behalf of The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and in the occasion of opening the Second Forum of Quality and the new projects of SASO, the minister asserted that quality is one of the basic issues that will enable the kingdom to keep up with the advanced world.

He indicated that SASO's vision is a proof that we are going forward to the internationality. The strategic plan for SASO is based on four main elements; the financial element which concerns about development the self-resources, the customers element which seeks their satisfaction, internal processes element which is related to SASO's works in order to make them more effective and efficient and education and development element which seeks the implementation of the education scheme and continuous development in SASO.

A team from the top administration of SASO and a specialized consultation office set a plan draft for SASO. Many workshops has been held in some of the kingdom's regions, studies and analyses has been made to face the challenges, the weak points, power points and opportunities especially after becoming a member of WTO. Balanced scorecard was used also to implement SASO's strategy 2020 which was launched by the patron of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques which also aims to put our services in an international advanced level.

SASO seeks holding intensive meetings with the committees and national councils of the private and public sector in future in order to reach a unified point of view about quality. In addition, it seeks cooperation with consultation offices to set up the strategy and establishing a national center for quality. Such center will draw plans and annual programs and qualifying the national employees.

The main target is to make the kingdom one of the huge industrial countries. This dream can be true if we complete the infrastructure for quality, doing studies and researches on quality, promoting the services, modifying some of the quality regulations, making some rules for certification bodies and applying it on education, health, services sectors, making some of the procedures obligatory and creating awards for excellence in every sector.
